Chief Executive Officer

Brian R. Clodfelter is the proud founder and CEO of Rhetson Companies, Inc. He founded Rhetson with two goals: to provide an excellent building experience for his community and get the chance to spend more time with his family. Brian’s career began in the prestigious golf industry, where he quickly rose through the ranks. With a desire to bring the same excellence to the building industry, he founded Rhetson in 2002. Brian was honored to be selected to build Dollar General's 15,000th store in Wilmington, NC, which opened for business in June 2018. Over the past 20 years, Brian has assembled a team of professionals and has grown Rhetson into one of the area's premier corporate real estate developers. 

Today as CEO, Brian’s primary focus is business development, cultivating financial relationships and client relations, and helping manage company finances. He carries a legacy of excellence that currently spans two decades and hundreds of client relationships. 

Brian’s roots run deep in North Carolina—he was born and raised in Burlington, NC, and has lived in the Sandhills his entire adult life. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Moore County Home Builders Association, and he serves on the board for Moore County Partners in Progress. When not working, Brian enjoys farming, traveling to the mountains, and hunting. Brian and his wife Julianne also enjoy spending time on the family farm with their three kids. He is incredibly proud of the Rhetson team of over 40 employees and the comprehensive suite of services they provide their clients.

Julianne Clodfelter

Corporate Secretary

Julianne joined the day-to-day operations of Rhetson in 2015 and is an integral part of the company, spearheading payroll and assisting with human resources.  Julianne brings 17 years of experience in the health care industry and a keen understanding of team dynamics to Rhetson. Julianne is a period recipient for Sigma Theta Tau for nursing, a certified Christian life coach, and is certified in holistic and nutritional medicine.

Julianne’s unique nursing background equipped her to bridge the gaps of generational work flow, conflicts, and understanding. She also brings a background in business and expertise from working in corporate compliance. Julianne adds an additional level of support to the Rhetson team, and she is always happy to lend an ear and give advice when needed. 

Born and raised in Laurinburg, NC (GO SCOTS!), Julianne came to Moore County to attend Sandhills Community College in 1994. She went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing and health administration. Julianne’s sharp organizational skills and ability to perceive team needs have been a welcome addition to Rhetson. Julianne also enjoys mentoring women on all levels of their professional and personal lives, including leadership, the workforce, marriages, family, and health. Recently, she has returned to her nursing roots and is studying holistic health and medicine and integrating that knowledge into her mentorship.

Not many spouses are called to work in the professional realm together, but Julianne delights in working by Brian’s side at Rhetson. They make a great team inside and outside of the office! She and Brian share three children, Rhett, Mason, and Libby, as well as two dogs, Drake (Boykin Spaniel), and Annie (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). In their private time, they enjoy traveling and spending time with family and close friends.

Richard Vincent

Richard Vincent

Chief Business Development Officer

Richard became a part of the Rhetson Companies, Inc. team in 2016. His extensive background is focused on commercial real estate, particularly as a broker for Marcus & Millichap, where he specialized in selling single-tenant and multi-tenant retail properties across the United States. Richard also holds a J.D. from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He was honored to be awarded the recognition of Dedman Leadership Fellow from Sandhills Community College in 2021.  

Providing vision and direction, Richard has created a comprehensive growth strategy for business development and diversification that has empowered Rhetson to grow as a company and better serve their clientele. He prides himself on clear communication that allows every employee to feel that they are part of something bigger and understand their strategic importance to the company.  

Richard hails from Cape Town, South Africa, and has been a U.S. resident since 2011. He has been proud to call Pinehurst, NC, home since 2016. Richard is on the board of the Pinehurst Historic Preservation Commission. He cannot sit still—he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, working in the yard, a cherished round of golf, and starting new projects. 

Richard is proudly married to his wife Bri, and together they have a beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Hazel, and their dog and chickens make it a full house. The Rhetson team is thankful for the ways Richard keeps the wheels moving and for his ability to brainstorm new ideas.

Jamie Encinosa

Chief Operating Officer

Joining the company in 2013, Jamie began her career at Rhetson as office manager and has risen to the role of Chief Operating Officer. From working her way through school at Chick-Fil-A to launching her career as a contract analyst, Jamie is committed to excellence in everything she does—especially her work as a female contractor. As a strategic leader, Jamie’s attention to detail, willingness to take initiative, and problem-solving skills have strengthened the Rhetson team. As a general contractor licensed in North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee, Jamie expertly oversees the project management team and ensures all development and construction run smoothly. She loves picking apart the problems that face each project and strategizing how to accomplish the mission. She takes the Rhetson mission statement to heart and strives to implement it each and every day. 

Originally from Baltimore, MD, Jamie came to Moore County in 2013 and holds a B.S. in worship and music studies as well as an M.A. in management and leadership from Liberty University. Jamie is an active member of her community, serving on the Sandhills Classical Christian School board of directors and the Moore County Leadership Institute Steering Committee. She also enjoys taking “race-cations,” where she runs half-marathons in beach locations for a weekend getaway with her friends and husband.  

Jamie met her husband Mat while attending Liberty University, and they now have two wonderful children together. She is also very involved in her church, Christ Community Church, where her husband is the pastor. Jamie’s heart is to provide spiritual and personal support to the Rhetson team and share the love of Jesus with them.

Chris Morgan

Executive Vice President of Construction

Chris joined the Rhetson team in August 2021 and was excited to step into the role of Executive Vice President of Construction in October 2022. Chris brings 23 years of experience, including contract negotiation, bidding, permitting, and complete construction management. He particularly enjoys the construction process and watching a property go from a blank canvas to a finished build. As a general contractor, his fondness for construction is only surpassed by his passion for forging and sustaining relationships. 

Hailing from Sanford, NC, he has been a proud resident of Moore Country for 19 years and boasts two degrees from Sandhills Community College. When not building, he enjoys working in the yard, woodworking, and traveling to the beach. He especially loves spending time with family; his high school sweetheart and wife, Tara, and their two beautiful daughters, Lauren and Lacey.

Jeff Taylor

Chief Financial Officer

Jeff joined Rhetson Companies in September 2023 as Chief Financial Officer.  Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the role of CFO for a Triad based commercial real estate and development company, directing the company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and information technology activities.  In 2019, Jeff was selected by the Bryan School of Business at UNC Greensboro as the outstanding alumni inductee into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business school honor society.  

As a seasoned finance executive, Jeff brings years of experience managing finance department teams while helping companies achieve their corporate goals. He particularly loves being a part of a team working towards a common goal, as well as the relationships that form while working together with other professionals.

Growing up in the Triad area of North Carolina, Jeff has an M.A. from Wake Forest and an MBA from UNC Greensboro.  He is a North Carolina licensed CPA and also holds the CGMA certificate from the AICPA.  Jeff’s extracurricular interests include watching college athletics, cycling, golf and reading in his spare time.  

Jeff has been married to his wife Sara for 37 years and they are proud of their two adult sons, Jim and Will, their wonderful wives and a precious grandson Jack.
